Thanks to the Heights Barkada from the Kuehler Twinlet Family!!

Hi Friends!

We just wanted to say hi to everyone and to tell you all that we truly appreciate the fantastic food train that Christa organized and that you all participated in!!  We ate all your delectable dishes with relish, and even have a few stashed in our freezer for "emergency use". :)  It has been so wonderful to have your support and not having to worry about how to fit in cooking during the twins unpredictable naptime really helped take the stress out of our evenings.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

We are doing well, settling into a routine.  Breastfeeding continues to be a challenge as our babies have learned to prefer the bottle and don't have the patience anymore to settle at the breast.  So I am moving towards a pump and feed, so that they at least still get the breastmilk even though the delivery is a little different than I had at first envisioned.  I am still hoping to get in a couple of breastfeeds during the day so that they stay "breast-friendly" as my lactation consultant puts it. I have learned so much about breastfeeding and its challenges that I am amazed any babies survived before the invention of formula, bottles, and breastpumps.

Ellie and Grey will be 8 weeks on Monday, and they are gaining weight like gangbusters!  Little Grey is over 10 lbs now and Ellie is knocking on the 9 lb door.  It's unbelievable to see them grow so fast considering how small they were to start off at.  Next week they start their shots.

Their little personalities/temperaments are starting to show.  Grey tends to be a bit more vocally demanding, especially when he is hungry.  He can go from silent sleep to 5 alarm "I WANT MY MILK RIGHT NOW!".  Ellie is more patient and laid back when it comes to her demands.  Grey enjoys his bathtime.  Ellie is a little suspicious at first, but then settles into it just fine.  Mom and Dad have been pooped on numerous times with triage runs to the bathtub because as Mark puts it "no amount of wet wipes can clean up this mess".  The other day Mommy had to take off her shorts and rush Ellie to the bathtub for the SECOND time that day, as poop exploded out of her diaper and onto Mom's lap.  Ellie had 3 costume changes that day.

Attached are some pictures for your enjoyment.  This is Dad's doing-- Ellie has her bloomers on her head and Grey, well, the picture speaks for itself.
Hope you are all doing well and we are working on venturing out into the world with our little family so soon we can join everyone for outings!

Love,

Mark, Tina, Elle's Bells, and Grey-Grey
